Through our PAWS FUR THE CAUSE, we donate $20 in your pet’s name to animal welfare nonprofits with every service, supporting shelters, rescues, and advocacy efforts in our community.

By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

PAWS FUR THE CAUSE, is a mobile, family-run business based in Los Angeles, California, serving most cities in Los Angeles County, northern Orange County, and southern Ventura County. We are not a crematorium but a pet transport and afterlife care service that partners with Sunset Promise, a trusted crematorium, to provide private, individual chamber cremations with a Cremation Identification Disc to ensure your pet’s ashes are theirs alone. Our services include:

  • Personalized pick-up of your pet from your home, vet’s office, shelter, or other
  • Coordination of dignified cremation (private or communal options).
  • Delivery of your pet’s ashes within two weeks (or sooner with a rush option).
  • Complimentary keepsakes (e.g., memorial box, velvet bag) and optional keepsakes (e.g., ink paw prints, eco-friendly bamboo pucks, urns like Cedar Sliders).
  • A $20 donation in your pet’s name to animal welfare nonprofits through our PAW IT FORWARD CAUSE.

We operate with transparency, compassion, and a commitment to uniting hearts through pet love, ensuring your pet’s memory is FURever Rooted In Your Heart.

2. Eligibility

Our services are intended for individuals 18 years or older. By using our services, you represent that you are at least 18 and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Service Terms

  • Service Scope: We provide pet transport and afterlife care for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles, and certain barn We do not offer in-home euthanasia but are working to add this service soon.
  • Pick-Up and Cremation: We collect your pet from your chosen location and transport them to Sunset Promise for Private cremations include a Cremation Identification Disc to guarantee your pet’s ashes are returned to you. Communal cremation ashes are not returned and are scattered respectfully by the crematorium.
  • Keepsakes and Urns: Each service includes a complimentary memorial box or velvet bag. Additional charges may apply for the following:
    • Rush Delivery Option: An additional fee for ash delivery sooner than the standard two-week period (contact us for current rates).
    • Keepsakes and Urns: Optional keepsakes (e.g., ink paw prints, clay paw prints, eco-friendly bamboo pucks) and urns (e.g., Cedar Sliders, Brass Paw Print) are available for purchase at varying costs (see our Keepsakes page  for pricing).
  • Prohibited Items: Non-combustible items (e.g., collars, toys) must be removed before cremation for Items like blankets are classified as hazardous materials by the crematorium and may incur extra fees, which we strive to avoid passing on to you. If such fees are unavoidable, we will notify you in advance.
  • Ash Delivery: Ashes are returned within two weeks (or sooner with a rush option), handled with dignity and care. We strive to maintain consistency in our services, but operational changes may occur due to factors like crematorium policies or economic conditions. This may include adjustments to ash delivery timelines (e.g., delays beyond two weeks), the PAW IT FORWARD CAUSE donation amount (currently $20), or policies on prohibited items (e.g., additional fees for hazardous materials). We will communicate any significant changes to you directly at the time of service or via our website.
  • PAW IT FORWARD CAUSE: We donate $20 in your pet’s name to animal welfare nonprofits with every service, supporting programs like animal care, rescue, and spay/neuter clinics.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due at the time of service or before if you are not present during pick-up. We accept credit/debit cards, Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Note that some payment methods (e.g., credit cards) may incur a processing fee, which will be disclosed at the time of payment.
  • Pricing varies based on pet size, cremation type (e.g., private communal), and additional services. Potential charges include:
    • Base Service Fee: Covers pick-up, cremation coordination, ash delivery, and the PAW IT FORWARD CAUSE donation (contact us for a quote based on your pet’s size and cremation type).
    • After-Hours Pick-Up: Pick-ups outside our standard hours (Mon – Sun, 6 AM to 1 AM) may incur an additional fee, disclosed at the time of

5. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information, including pet type, weight, and pick-up location, to ensure proper service and pricing.
  • Remove non-combustible items (e.g., collars, toys) before pick-up, as these cannot be cremated for safety reasons.
  • Be available for pick-up or authorize a representative (e.g., vet office, shelter) to release your pet to us.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for delays or issues beyond our control, such as crematorium scheduling or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters like the 2025 LA wildfires).
  • We are not responsible for items sent with your pet that are not permitted for cremation (e.g., blankets classified as hazardous materials).
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, PAWS FUR THE CAUSE’s liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the

7. Intellectual Property
