Paws Fur the Cause grew out of a shared love of animals and of our community, born and raised in Los Angeles. As a woman-led, sibling-owned business, we’re more than just pet enthusiasts; we’re empathetic, purpose-driven people who care deeply about what we do, finding strength through life’s challenges and its ebbs and flows.
One of us is a two-time breast cancer warrior and proud Pink Sister, a journey that reminds us daily of the importance of living with intention and compassion. Together, we’re mindful, caring individuals who are passionate about making a difference through a cause greater than ourselves.
With our family history of loving and caring for pets, and many years of combined volunteer experience in animal welfare, we saw a need for afterlife pet care that honors both the deep bond between owners and their pets as well as the integrity of the process, and we created a service built on trust, compassion, and transparency.
We partner with a trusted crematorium, to ensure a private, individual cremation process with complete transparency and respect. Our service is woven with heart and purpose, every detail shaped by care like our Tree of Life logo, a gentle nod to the truth that the love for your pet is furever rooted in your heart.
As lifelong pet lovers, we understand the sorrow of having to say goodbye and we’re here to walk beside you through it with patience and kindness. We will be there with you, ready to listen, to sit with you in silence, or even to offer a hug when words just aren’t enough.
At Paws Fur The Cause, our partnerships extend our care beyond the families we serve. We collaborate with community leaders and animal welfare organizations to support shelters, promote adoptions, and uplift causes that honor every creature.
Through initiatives like Paw It Forward and shared outreach efforts, we strive to make a lasting impact helping pets and their people across the communities we proudly call home.
Before Paws Fur the Cause came to be, we were shaped by a childhood steeped in love for animals, growing up in and around Los Angeles County. Our home bustled with cats — a reflection of our mother’s deep affection for all creatures. Her care extended to the wild ones in our backyard, nurturing birds, squirrels, and more with the same warmth she gave us.
This connection to animals ran through our entire family. On our father’s side, our grandparents’ dog, Jojo, taught us the joy and loyalty of a canine companion. On our mother’s side, our grandparents’ home was a safe haven for cats — both their own and the neighborhood’s ferals.
Our grandmother, a rescuer at heart, cared for them all within her means, turning her home into a safe haven where trust flourished. Her compassion left a lasting mark, echoed by our artist aunt on our mother’s side, who inherited and embodied the same love for animals as our mother and grandmother. From these elders, we learned what it means to truly love animals to care for them, earn their trust, and build bonds that run deep.
Those early lessons of empathy and connection laid the groundwork for who we were before Paw It Forward and inspired the heart of our mission today.
